Started this painting when my mother-in-law was in the hospital.
It’s St. Michael defeating the demons — A reflection of those moments when hope fades, but faith fights harder.
I poured out the battle we were living.
Art is healing.

As I painted, I imagined St. Michael —guardian of light—watching, unwavering, over evil spirits.
That’s what I wanted in his gaze. Strength. Mercy. Fire.
This is more than a painting — it’s St. Michael, a symbol of God conquering evil.
The master painter Raphael had this rare ability to paint divinity, to make the spiritual visible.
That’s what inspires me. I want my art to speak light into darkness.
